RiG 2019-2020/7 April 2020: We Get To Decide!
LSM Alumni
Reflecting in Gratitude Vol. 7
April 2020
WE GET TO DECIDE!
Corona threatens to silence us.
What’s next? Does it make sense to keep on going?
I am an oboist. Like me, most of you are not standalone players. You need your ensemble, your band, your orchestra, your choir.
I don’t know what the answer is, but I do know this:
You get to decide!
While you distill your life down to that which most important in these strange times, you brace for the moment when you grasp that
You get to decide.
You get to decide when and how to keep on playing, to keep on singing.
It will require leadership, adaptation, a lot of creativity and a serious dose of bravery and determination.
You get to decide.
I raised my voice to sing with the LSM virtual choir. I did it and, believe me, stagger breathing sounds really stupid when I am all by myself. BUT
I get to decide.
I choose to keep singing. Please join me. The due date has been extended to April 24th.
Grace to you and Peace,
Jeanine Krause

Just like LSM itself, this project is about building community and growing together- not about perfection. Come as you are, and see yourself singing alongside friends from LSM past and present!
